Greg and I have been together for 9 years and both love the outdoors. Last summer we went on a 7 day canoe trip to Algonquin Park with Greg's brother and 3 young kids. I almost didn't even go because I just started a new job, but, it was hard to say no, seeing as my little princess would be alone with all boys if i didn't. I am sure glad I went though because it turned out to be one amazing trip.
Our plan was to go to Huntsville the day before we left. I was working the whole day before so Greg packed up all our gear and left before me... guess what though..... he forgot the tent? I gave him a pretty hard time but luckily we were able to borrow his uncles tent which happened to be the same as ours. The next morning we ventured out on our trip and everything was going great. We took some awesome photos and were just having a great time. The first couple nights the bugs were pretty bad. Greg was trying to get me to come look out at the stars but I wouldn't go. So It was day 5 of our trip where I had picked out a campsite on an Island with a nice beach on it. My nails were dirty and I hadn't had a good shower since we left. I had asked Greg if he wanted to go for a walk and he was like sure. So we went down to the beach and Greg started to take photos of flowers. Then he gave me the camera and told me "here you take some" and Im like, "ok". SO I bent down to take a photo and then as I stand up Greg looks at me with this serious face "I have something I've been wanting to tell you" and of course I think something bad....but then he was like "Will You Marry Me? What a nice surprise, it was perfect. I was so clueless but now it all makes sense. I can't wait for the big day! |
