My fiance and I have known each other for 12 years. We love to travel! We have been on countless vacations together and of course I was always thinking he would propose every place we went.
Our most recent trip was the trip of a lifetime! Three weeks in Europe, four countries and I never imagined we would come back engaged, but he finally proposed! The evening it happened was March 15th, 2016. We had been in Europe for about 2 weeks, we were in Paris. We had already been to Dublin and Rome, heading to Munich the next day. We decided to go visit the Eiffel Tower again, this time at night. We got there and walked around a bit, it was amazing to see in person, so pretty! We walked across the street because there was "a restaurant he wanted to check out". We were looking at the Eiffel Tower from across the street, loving the view. He suggested having our photo taken to capture the whole tower behind us. He handed the camera over to a woman passing by and we posed for a photo and all of a sudden he was down on one knee!!! I don't remember much of what was said, I know I asked repeatedly "Is this real? Are you serious?" and he said "I know I drive you crazy but, will you marry me?" Of course I said YES! The moment was captured forever in photos and will be remembered as one of the most incredible moments of my life and quite an amazing start to OUR life together! |
