On July 8th 2011, I was on my way home from a blind date at wedding reception that didn't go so well. This was my first date in 5 years and I was really disappointed with the outcome of the night. I prayed to god with all my heart to keep me motivated and help me find the women of my dreams. Fifteen minutes later, while drive home, I almost ran a red light. As I put the car in reverse so I can place the car behind the pedestrian walkway I hit the car behind me who would later be my finance. As I get out of the car and we assessed that there was no damage to both vehicles. I hurriedly went back to my car hoping that she wouldn't change her mind and want to exchange insurance information with a potential future insurance claim on my hands.
As we both drove away. A police officer who was parked behind her car saw the accident and turned on his sirens for us to pull over to the curb. As I anxiously parked my car, the police office asked us to exchange insurance information for our records. As we exchanged insurance information, I found out that Nisreen was on her way home from a long day as a general surgery medical resident at the local hospital. I also found out that she is from the same country I was born in and I suddenly couldn't help but notice that god may have answered my prayers. She was the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Truly, an angel from heaven. As we learned more about each other and common interests, I knew that that I had met the women of my dreams. I wanted to make the proposal as special and memorable as I could. I decided to propose on July 8th 2013. Two years to the day that I met her. I saved the police officers citation and decided to call her to see if she would be willing to help me with my plan. I told Nisreen that we would be going to a retirement party for my boss. However, the plan was to propose to her on the same day I met her at the same exact spot and I would have the same police officer who stopped pull us over again for a broken trail light. With a lot of preparing, I hired a professional photographer to capture the special moment and our families waiting nearby to congratulate us afterwards. The proposal couldn't have gone any better. She was shocked and surprised at the same time. She was speechless. As she got out of the car and I held her hands. It started to rain and the clouds gave way to sunshine five minutes later after the proposal. This was truly the second best day of my life and it could not have gone any better.. To my lovely Nisreen.. The love of my life <3 |
